About HILOTHERM The company

The HILOTHERM group was founded in 2003 and is 100% privately owned. The group is comprised of Hilotherm Holding AG, headquartered in Oberwil bei Zug, Switzerland, in addition to its 100-percent subsidiary company, Hilotherm GmbH, headquartered in Argenbühl-Eisenharz/Allgäu, Germany. This is where development and production are based.

Our Mission

People whose quality of life is temporarily reduced stand at the centre of our focus. Using HILOTHERAPY®, we would like to help to improve how you feel. A faster recovery following surgery or injury is a key objective, in addition to alleviating complaints resulting from chronic diseases and limiting particular complications, such as those occurring due to chemotherapy. We are highly motivated and dedicated to the task of helping patients with our treatment approaches, in close collaboration with doctors and other therapists.

Worldwide success

HILOTHERAPY® is already used in 20 countries on every continent around the world. It helps patients following surgical procedures, injuries and in cases of chronic disease and the resultant swelling, bruising, oedema and inflammation. It works not only to promote healing, but also helps to reduce pain levels which can result in a significantly reduced intake of pain killers being required.

Peter
Titz President

Peter Titz is an experienced manager who has held various management positions and sat on supervisory committees at both national and international listed companies. He helped grow the leading Swiss CV company; he has successfully taken over, revamped and sold successful companies in the technology branch. Peter Titz is convinced of a "hands-on" approach to corporate management and therefore often takes an active role in corporate development, strategy and management of companies that he has invested in.

Lenhardt Managing Director

Dieter Lenhardt, the founder of HILOTHERM, has already experienced great success in growing medical technology companies. Due to his extensive experience, Dieter Lenhardt is the driving force behind the success of HILOTHERM. He has taken HILOTHERM right from vision to realisation, and led it to the success story that HILOTHERM is today.

Dr. Jürgen Geissinger Board of Directors

Jürgen Geissinger is an experienced manager who experienced great success as chairman of the board for different international corporations. He is also a member of the supervisory board for international market-listed companies. He counts on a wealth of experience, from implementation of strategic development in a balanced form of organic global growth with innovative product developments and market developments, to acquisitions and disposals. HILOTHERM has contributed a great deal to medicine with the development of its treatment system. Jürgen would like to see and actively support the further development of the product and the company.

Wallace
Stein Board of Directors

After a long and successful career in the area of banking and finance, Wallace Stein has built up a portfolio of shareholdings in small and medium-sized enterprises, whilst also being actively involved in their management. He has also occupied different roles in companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. Wallace Stein is the owner and managing director of Hilotherm Ltd., the sales partner of HILOTHERM for the UK and Ireland.

Each and every one of us in our family has benefited from our Hilotherapy device already. Apart from using it for small day-to-day aches and pains, we have applied it more specifically in the case of the following injuries/procedures: wisdom tooth extractions, syndesmosis ankle ligament surgery, dislocated thumb, ankle ligament rupture, joint capsule separation in thumb. It really can’t even remotely be compared to the traditional methods of cold application with ice or gel packs!

HILOTHERAPY®

HILOTHERAPY® is a thermo-treatment approach that is applied locally to damaged body parts, with its effects influencing the oxygen demand of tissues, metabolism, blood circulation and the pain receptors of the affected tissue. Used as a hypothermic treatment, it has slowing effects; as a hyperthermic treatment, its effects are stimulating. These effects of HILOTHERAPY® are obtained using specific temperatures that can be controlled to single-degree precision for each different indication.

Our products

Application of HILOTHERAPY® is always carried out with two components: the cooling device, with its hoses, and the cuffs which are adapted to each respective medical indication. For each respective field of application, we offer devices that permit a suitable range of functionality. We offer you quality that you can trust. The products are certified in accordance with the applicable international standards for medical products, in addition to meeting the standards of our own quality management system as per the EN ISO 13485 standard by TÜV SÜD Product Service.
